Tardona is a village of 1192 inhabitants in the midwestern part of Borsod county, at the northwestern foot of the Bükk mountain. The first reference of the settlement is from Mór Jókai, a well-known Hungarian romantic author found a shelter here after the war of independence, in 1849.

Places to visit You can visit to the Tardona fishing lake from which you have an excellent view on the surrounding forrests and hills, it is always peaceful so you can relax well here at any time of the year.

The other famous place in Tardona is the Mór Jókai memmorial building with lots of objects used by the gorgious writer.
