III. Implementing EDS on a national Level (all SUHF or all BIBSAM or all…) •Shared EDS core index basis of the service for all sites •Full integration of the union catalogue LIBRIS into EDS, harvesting metadata via LIBRIS APIs. •Full functionality to narrow search down to local collections •Custom EDS enrichment through individual database subscriptions •Possibility to negotiate unified consortium access for core databases •Full possibilities for national and/or local branding •Full flexibility to create subject specific discovery sub sets •Alternatively/additionally use EDS as data source and present results in national interface.

III. Considerations •EBSCO EDS is commercially available •Quick implementation •High interface user recognition •Significant immediate improvement of access to library collections •Compatible with all currently used library systems and linking services •Flexible setup ensures easy alignment to future changes in the Swedish research infrastructure (L-Libris?).
