The Will of God Ephesians 1:3-11

The Will of God What is your expectation of God? Expectations are often based upon “wants” Do you reflect upon your will or God’s will?

What Is The Will of God? “Will” is “that which is strongly desired” (Jesus: John 4:34; 5:30; 6:38) God’s will is what is desired of God

What Is The Will of God? God’s known, revealed will (Deut. 29:29) What we should or should not do. Have a choice to obey or disobey the will of God (Ex: Judas and the Romans -- Acts 4:27,28; 1 Corinthians 2:7-9)

What Is The Will of God? God’s desire, pleasing, and perfect will… God’s pleasure is repentance (2 Peter 3:9) God’s pleasure is salvation (1 Timothy 2:4)

What Is The Will of God? God’s desire, pleasing, and perfect will… God’s pleasure is being taught of Him (John 6:44) God’s pleasure is faith in Him (Hebrews 11:6) Faith which obeys (Matthew 7:21)

What Is The Will of God? With God’s will comes eternal life (1 John 2:17) Need to understand God’s will (Ephesians 5:17) Our desire should be to know His will (John 7:17)
