Presentation transcript:

What should you revise?

Where do you start? It doesn’t matter if you work: on your own with friends with family with a tutor What you revise is more important than how many hours you put in

It’s nice to fill your head with complex ideas, there’s a real sense of achievement

How does that contribute to your wider understanding?

This represents your understanding

If you can’t do basics such as multiply and divide any number, you’ve lost an essential tool

If you don’t understand the key elements of each topic, you haven’t got a leg to stand on

If you can’t properly use a calculator, you might as well not have one

Knowing how to use equipment is critical – if you can’t, that’s easy marks lost!

Good algebra skills and problem solving are critical for success Good algebra skills and problem solving are critical for success. They are the body of your grade!

All you are left with is a head full of big ideas, with no body of understanding to back it up

Is it such a good idea to focus on the complex ideas? It’s your total score that makes your grade Think smart, plan smart, revise smart Get the grade you deserve!

Good luck in your exams!
