Brief History of the Campaign Began in 2006 by various stakeholders to make nursing homes better. 2007: Commonwealth Fund awarded a grant to fund “Advancing Excellence in Nursing Homes.” Grew from a 2-year project into a national movement to improve quality. 2016: Transferred project to CMS and became NNHQIC.
