Presenter Name and Organization, Collaborators Insert your university logo. INTRODUCTION Briefly describe your research and make it interesting. Strive to keep the introduction to 150 words or less. Avoid technical jargon. Graphics will help viewers understand the research better than text will. General tips: Don’t use more than two fonts on your poster. Minimum text size is 16 pt. Headings should be between 30 and 60 pt. No more than 11 to 12 words per line of text. Use two or three colors; too many can be distracting. RESULTS First, provide a summary by explaining the general aspects of data collected and if the procedure worked. Then, present data analysis that supports your hypothesis. Refer to charts or images. Use infographics to show data visually so reader can understand quickly. This should be your largest section at about 200 words. CONCLUSIONS Explain the major result and briefly clarify if your hypothesis was supported. Tell viewer why this is interesting and state why it is important. Suggest continuing research that will build on the study, if appropriate. Photo or graphic Photo or graphic (Results continued) Photo or graphic Caption REFERENCE Follow the format of the conference you are attending. Briefly explain photo or graphic.
