ANALYSIS OF vocS IN POC HEALTH SCREENING BREATHSPEC SANti dominguez CEO May 31st 2019

DIAGNOSTICS VOC analysis is a potentially paradigm changing technology in the Point of Care, non invasive diagnosis /screening of a series of conditions. VOC analysis can: Deliver non-invasive screening/diagnostics for a series of conditions Bring screening/diagnostics much closer to the POC Deliver faster results, such speed resulting in critically faster outcomes IMSPEX PRESENTATION CONFIDENTIAL 16/09/2019

About IMSPEX – the project leader Founded in 2011 Spin-off of University of South Wales Fully owned R&D subsidiary in Dortmund, Germany Delivering analytical solutions based on the combination of GC and IMS IMSPEX INVESTMENT PRESENTATION CONFIDENTIAL 16/09/2019

DIAGNOSTICS Current Product Range / Technology platform Headspace analyser Extreme sensitivity Immediate analysis All body fluids Direct breath analyser Extreme sensitivity Immediate analysis A technology platform delivering very sensitive, fast results with a range of sampling methods and diagnostic targets IMSPEX PRESENTATION CONFIDENTIAL 16/09/2019

DIAGNOSTICS Current Product Range / Technology platform Very high sensitivity Simple to use Fast: result within 10 minutes Low footprint and maintenance Early diagnostics Point of Care – no expert user needed Point of Care – Suitable for the clinic No sample prep and very low cost Portability and delocalization IMSPEX PRESENTATION CONFIDENTIAL 16/09/2019

DIAGNOSTICS Current Applications Bacterial vs Viral Respiratory Infection Antibiotic stewardship AND MORE! Early evidence of diagnostic or screening capability in a series of targets, with some validation projects ongoing IMSPEX PRESENTATION CONFIDENTIAL 16/09/2019

DIAGNOSTICS Markets Hospital diagnostics Faster results Non invasive Easier use Operating Theatre and Ward ready GP Clinics Point of Care Non invasive Easy use Much faster results Clinical trials Fast information Disease and treatment outcome monitoring IMSPEX PRESENTATION CONFIDENTIAL 16/09/2019

THE BREATHSPEC STUDY Circa 1,000 patients measured The BreathSpec® project aims to develop a rapid, non-invasive device that can diagnose bacterial or viral infections through ultra-high sensitivity breath analysis. This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 755667 Circa 1,000 patients measured Primary and secondary care settings 7 sites in total, in collaboration with 3 NHS Trusts and University of Warwick Measurements completed successfully over a winter campaign IMSPEX PRESENTATION CONFIDENTIAL 16/09/2019
