#2 Genesis 3:1-24 – Part 1 God’s Promise to Fallen Man

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. - Genesis 1:1

Genesis 3:1-24 = Why and how did we get this way?

Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. - Genesis 3:1a

Serpent = Satan → John 8:44; Rev. 12:9

And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” - Genesis 3:1b

9 And he led Him to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here; 10 for it is written, ‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard You,’ 11 and, ‘On their hands they will bear You up, So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’” 12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “It is said, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” - Luke 4:9-12

What Should Eve Have Done? A. Stand Firm Resist the devil and he will flee from you. - James 4:7
