#2 Genesis 3:1-24 – Part 1 God’s Promise to Fallen Man

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. - Genesis 1:1

Genesis 3:1-24 = Why and how did we get this way?

Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. - Genesis 3:1a

Serpent = Satan → John 8:44; Rev. 12:9

And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” - Genesis 3:1b

2. She changed God’s word Eve’s 5 Mistakes 2b “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’” - Genesis 3:2b-3

1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness 2 for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He became hungry. 3 And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” 4 And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’” - Luke 4:1-4

5 And he led Him up and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, “I will give You all this domain and its glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore if You worship before me, it shall all be Yours.” 8 Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’” - Luke 4:5-8

9 And he led Him to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here; 10 for it is written, ‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard You,’ 11 and, ‘On their hands they will bear You up, So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’” 12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “It is said, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” - Luke 4:9-12

What Should Eve Have Done? A. Stand Firm Resist the devil and he will flee from you. - James 4:7

What Should Eve Have Done? B. Run Away Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. - II Timothy 2:22

For whoever is joined with all the living, there is hope; surely a live dog is better than a dead lion. - Ecclesiastes 9:4

She to believe Satan rather than God. chose FREE WILL

5. She led Adam to sin Eve’s 5 Mistakes and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. - Genesis 3:6c

Why Did Adam Eat? Love? Share her punishment? Convinced by Eve? Lost trust in God?
