Trust in God Listen to God’s Word Wait on the Lord Go in confidence

22But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22

Hearing Gods Word without actively applying it to life is deficient interaction.

22But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves 22But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like someone looking at his own face in a mirror. 24For he looks at himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of person he was. James 1:22-24

The Bible is your mirror for your conduct.

25But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer who works this person will be blessed in what he does. James 1:25

Give focused attention to applying God’s Word to your life.

How do I apply God’s Word to my life? What do I need to do? How do I do it?

22But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22

4 "Listen, Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:4-5

7 Repeat them to your children 7 Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:7

8 Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead. Deuteronomy 6:8

9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your city gates. Deuteronomy 6:9

Get unstuck by listening to God’s Word.
