One-step addition & subtraction equations: fractions & decimals

Solution:- Get the variable on one side of the equation. Example1 :- 6.2 = 2.2 + x Solution:- Get the variable on one side of the equation. We keep variable x on the right handside(RHS) and move constant to the left handside(LHS) 6.2 – 2.2 =2.2 + x – 2.2 4.0 = x (ans) By rule 1, 2.2 is added to the variable x, so subtract 2.2 from both sides of the equation Example2 :- d + 0.5 = 0.75 Solution:- Get the variable on one side of the equation. We keep variable d on the left handside(LHS) and move constant to the right handside(RHS) d + 0.5 – 0.5 = 0.75 – 0.5 d= 0.25 (ans) By rule 1, 0.5 is added to the variable d, so subtract 0.5 from both sides of the equation

from both sides of the equation Example3 :- Solution:- Get the variable on one side of the equation. We keep variable g on the left handside(LHS) and move constant to the right handside(RHS) By rule 1, is added to the variable g, so add from both sides of the equation

from both sides of the equation Example4 :- Solution:- Get the variable on one side of the equation. We keep variable g on the left handside(LHS) and move constant to the right handside(RHS) By rule 1, is added to the variable c, so subtract from both sides of the equation
