Presentation transcript:

Organized vs. Disorganized

Organized The Organized Serial Killer is usually happily employed and socially competent. They have cars or trucks and are often married with children. Also these people are well thought of in their community.

Continued The organized serial killer plans his murders for weeks, months or years. Their crimes are orderly and played out in with extreme detail.

Organized There are usually three separate crime scenes; 1. Where the victim is confronted, 2. Where the murder is committed, 3. Where the body is disposed of.

Continued They will bring their killing tools, ropes, weapons, tape, etc. with them to their murders. Afterward they destroy all evidence.

Organized They are very knowledgeable in the science of forensics, and law enforcement investigation methods. The longer they kill the more skilled they are and they are harder to apprehend.

Disorganized The Disorganized Serial Killer is the exact opposite of the organized killer. They are very difficult to apprehend because they do not usually develop patterns or plan their crimes.

Disorganized They have intense fantasies about killing, but don't think out a detailed plan of action. The disorganized serial killer will make his attacks spontaneously and randomly. KILL

Continued They are usually socially inept, unemployed and don't often have cars. They have a tendency to be of low intelligence or psychotic. In a disorganized serial murder there is usually one crime scene.

Continued The victim is violently murdered where they are approached. There is no attempt to conceal the body or to destroy evidence. They body is often brutally mutilated and raped. Souvenirs are often taken, and since the disorganized serial killer usually leads an isolated life style there is no one to hide the evidence from.

Mixture The Mixed Serial Murder is a homicide that has a mixture of organized and disorganized. Typically the serial killer will stay within either organized or disorganized category. Drug use, a partner, an interruption, cause the mixed serial murder.
