What causes it? How can we prevent it? Soil Erosion What causes it? How can we prevent it?

In which layer does soil erosion occur? Name the horizon and give one characteristic of each. In which layer does soil erosion occur?

Why do these cows need to stop eating? Overgrazing

What in this picture might cause erosion? Construction- removes vegetation and loosens soil

What is happening to cause erosion? Deforestation- removal of trees for building or profit

How could this cause soil erosion? Plowing and other farming techniques leave soil loose and vulnerable to wind, water, and gravity. Continuing to plant the same kind of crop in the same place can be deplete the nutrients in the soil.
