The Birth of A Nation- Documentary

After watching the documentary, answer the following questions: In 1915 D.W. Griffith’s movie, A Birth of A Nation had a profound impact on movie making, the popularity of films, and the technical aspects of media. However, it also exposes the racial divide that existed at the time, and has haunted us ever since. After watching the documentary, answer the following questions: 1. How has popular media (movies, television, etc…) influenced our history over the years? Give specific examples when possible. 2. What media do you think now influences our society and attitudes the most? Is this a positive or negative thing in your opinion?
