Presentation transcript:

What I command you is to love one another…

Jesus said to his disciples: ‘This is my commandment: love one another, as I have loved you. A man can have no greater love than to lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do what I command you. I shall not call you servants any more, because a servant does not know his master’s business; I call you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have learnt from my Father. You did not choose me: no, I chose you; and I commissioned you to go out and to bear fruit, fruit that will last; and then the Father will give you anything you ask him in my name. What I command you is to love one another.’ John 15:12-17

What would a world without love be like? Listen to the lyrics of the song and look at the pictures. Discuss with your partner or table group what a world without love would be like. Listen to me!

Thankfully, we live in a world where love is EVERYWHERE! Watch me!

In madness lies sanity! Your form has been given a cross on an a3 sheet. Use felt tips and take turns in writing ways that you have shown love for others or other have shown love for you. Keep it neat and bright as these crosses will be displayed in the chapel so everyone can see what a loving group of people the All Saints’ family are. To love unconditionally is not the easiest thing to do, but it is by far the most powerful! Love will always overcome hate. Light will always penetrate the darkness. How will you let your light shine?
