Imagine this were happening in Brooks County, what would you do Imagine this were happening in Brooks County, what would you do? How would you feel?

Learning Target: I can identify the central idea of a text. Read the article as a group. As you read, answer the question from the blue strip of paper in the appropriate section of the Tabletop Twitter section. After everyone has read, your group will respond to each student’s tweet. You can respond by adding to the original tweet. You can ask a question. You can draw a picture, but you MUST respond to each tweet! Initial your tweets so I can see who said what!

Learning Target: I can identify the central idea of a text. After Reading Task: Answer the questions on the back of your handout. Use the information from your Tweeting activity to help you complete the paragraph frame for question #5. The paragraph frame is there to help you; however, if you feel that you have mastered the art of RACE, you may compose your paragraph in your own words. ALL paragraph responses should be completed in the blank area on the article handout!
