Your Challenge – Will it Blend?

The Brief Develop a range of three smoothie products and a marketing plan for for the year old market Smoothies must be: –Healthy: use fresh fruit or vegetables and natural ingredients –Make sense as a range of three, offer a choice –Taste great! –Easily made in a coffee bar with a blender We also need: –Names for the products that will appeal to the target market –Recipe cards using easy to follow instructions for baristas –Nutritional information (well provide an easy to use calculator for this)

Your Presentation Youll work on the products and concept over the next few weeks before coming to Matthew Algie in February to present your product idea to our development team Youll need to divide into groups: –Development (develop great tasting smoothies that fit the brief) –Marketing (create a marketing strategy for cafés as to why they should take your smoothies and what the proposition is to young consumers) –Technical (working with Development youll calculate the nutritional values and develop the final recipe cards with Marketing) –Commercial Operations (youll find out where we can buy ingredients from and what the costs are, youll also help Marketing with cost info on the to look at cost / margin / selling price)
