I-LHC NOMINAL ions beam in 2007 M. Chanel

What is NOMINAL 2 bunches in LEIR with each 4.5 108 lead 54+ ions(5000 107 charges in total) Emittances less than 0.7 mm In LEIR, 4 to 5 injection-cooling sequences, , then acceleration extraction.

RESULTS End injection-cooling 4 to 6 1010 charges Accelerated 3 to 4.5 1010 charges Emittances are lower than requested for the number of particles accelerated. Losses at the beginning of acceleration

To be done Better injection +cooling Bunching with h=1+2 Better Working point
