Earth is the only planet in the Solar System able to sustain life Earth is the only planet in the Solar System able to sustain life. There are several reasons for this.

The first reason is that Earth has breathable atmosphere The first reason is that Earth has breathable atmosphere. Living creatures require oxygen for life which is in Earth’s atmosphere and water.

This is caused by the moderate amount of carbon dioxide in the planet's atmosphere, which is constantly refreshed whenever there is a volcanic eruption. The temperature on Earth does not go from one extreme to the other either as on the other planets.

The third reason is water The third reason is water. Water is the most important chemical needed for life next to oxygen. Other liquids contain poison. Water can be found anywhere on Earth in its three states: solid, liquid or gas.
