(512) UIL BASKETBALL GAME AND SEASON LIMITS Basketball Season Limit 0 Invitational Tournaments plus 25 games OR 1 Invitational Tournaments plus 23 games OR 2 Invitational Tournaments plus 21 games OR 3 Invitational Tournaments plus 19 games Same site same night, a student can play two games (junior varsity and varsity, etc.) in one night but counts as two games towards their season limit and the student is done for the week.

(512) UIL BASKETBALL REGULATIONS Holiday restriction – a school shall not conduct contests or practices during 5 consecutive days of December. A school may chose any five consecutive days which include December 24, 25, and 26. Tiebreaker procedures not clearly defined by district rules at beginning of season will default to UIL tiebreaker rules. District VARSITY games postponed by weather or public disaster shall be rescheduled on the next available date (played as an exception to school week limitation.

(512) CONCUSSION MANAGEMENT Concussion Management – HB2038 TEC Chapter 38, Sub Chapter D The information provided on the Health and Safety section of the UIL web site Training requirements for coaches, athletic trainers and potential members of a Concussion Oversight Team in the subject matter of concussions, including evaluation, prevention, symptoms, risks, and long-term effects UIL has created this Concussion Acknowledgement Form, which is required for all student athletes in grades 7-12 On the UIL web site is a syllabus that contains an outline of the required elements for the two hour coaches concussion education training
