Wave Interference

Wave Interference Wave interference is a phenomenon which occurs when two waves meet while traveling along the same medium

Constructive Interference: occurs when waves add up to make a larger amplitude The waves are “in phase”

Destructive Interference: the interference of two waves of equal frequency and opposite phase, resulting in their cancellation where the negative displacement of one always coincides with the positive displacement of the other The waves are completely “out of phase”
