Isomers. 28 February 2019 Which of the following compounds shows cis-trans isomerism? Draw and label the cis-trans isomers where they exist. P.J.McCormack

Optical Isomers. 28 February 2019 The 3-D formulae show the spatial arrangements of the atoms. If these two isomers are placed on top of each other they do not mach, they are non-superimposable. P.J.McCormack

Optical Isomers 28 February 2019 For a compound to be optically active it must have a chiral centre. A chiral centre (or carbon) is a carbon atom in a molecule that has four different groups. Chiral molecules are non-superimposable on their mirror image. P.J.McCormack

Isomers Questions. 28 February 2019 Draw the structural formulae of three compounds of formula C5H12 and four compounds of C6H14. State the type of isomerism involved. Draw the structural formula of three isomers of C3H8O. Draw all the isomers of C4H8O P.J.McCormack
