Step 1- Assemble at the reception area
Step 2- Open the Fire Box and hand out Fire Cards and Hi-Vis vests
Check Fire panel, make note of alarm zone and time of activation Step 3- Fire Card 1 – Take charge of the evacuation (You are now the Fire Manager) Check Fire panel, make note of alarm zone and time of activation Hand out Fire Cards and give clear instructions on what to do Record all Report Back information Meet Fire department and hand over all information collected
If someone is missing, ask about where they were last seen Step 4- Fire Card 2 – Take sign-in book to assembly point and perform a roll call (Report back to the Fire Manager) Ensure you do a complete Roll Call including Employees, Volunteers, Riders, Carers, Visitors and Contractors If someone is missing, ask about where they were last seen Report back to Fire Manager
Only Sweep a area if instructed to do so by the Fire Manager Step 5- Fire Card 3 – Sweep the viewing area, if safe to do so ( Report back to Fire manager) Only Sweep a area if instructed to do so by the Fire Manager Do not fully enter the viewing area but rather call out from the entrance Close all doors behind you as you leave Report back to the Fire Manager
Step 6- Assemble at the designated Fire Assembly Point and await further instructions
