GENDER AND INMIGRATION It is one of the migrant profiles prevailing in Bilbao Gender is a mainstream issue in the operating strategy of Bilbao City Council Bilbao City Council works to promote positive actions in favour of the integration of non national woman Foreign women suffer from a multiple discrimination situation, given the fact of being woman and immigrant. This situation increases the difficulties of integrating equal opportunities in employment.

2. WORK GROUP MAXIMUM 12 PERSONS PER GROUP ( 2 MENTEES AND 10 MENTORS) CONTENTS: (3 Seminars) – Coach for job integration (Self- esteem and motivation) – Convalidation process – Resources for job integration – Self- employment – Business culture of the host city INVOLVE ENTREPRENEURS

WORK PAIR Identify pairings Define actions for each pair Kind of activities: – Share experiences, social and proffesional networks. – Guide their job integration process – Drafting CV, presentation letter and interviews – Help in standardization processes and other administrative requests – Incorporation to associations related to integration – Attendance to proffesional events – Advice in employment search – Academic information – Motivation, personal skills – Emotional back-up Pairs work autonomously with the support of the coordinating team

EVALUATION EXPECTED RESULTSINDICATOR At least 50 women are to take part in the programme.Number of women taking part (origins, sectors) The women are familiar with new resources for their integration in society and employment. Number of women familiar with new resources 80% of the women consider their professional capabilities are valid in the receiving city. Number of women who are of this opinion Each pairing undertakes at least five actions of an individual nature Number and type of actions undertaken 70% of the women consider the project has improved their chances of finding a skilled job.
