Matthew 14:13-21

Jesus was out in a boat so that he could be by himself Jesus was out in a boat so that he could be by himself. But the people heard he was there and they gathered to see him. When Jesus came back to shore he felt compassion for all of them and stayed to heal the sick and to talk to them.

As it started to get dark the disciples came to Jesus and told him to send the crowds home because they had no food. But Jesus told them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” the disciples answered.

“Bring them here to me,” Jesus said “Bring them here to me,” Jesus said. Then he told all the people to sit down on the grass. He took the 5 loaves of bread and the 2 fish and looked up to heaven and gave thanks. He broke the bread and the fish and put it in baskets for the disciples to give to the people.

After the disciples gave them to the people After the disciples gave them to the people. Everyone had all they could eat and were full. The disciples picked up the baskets that had food left and they had 12 basketfuls left.
