Fig 1 Computed tomography image of a patient with an intramural hematoma in the ascending aorta and a dissection flap with luminal irregularity in the descending thoracic aorta. The patient presented with lower limb ischemia, but recovered without requiring peripheral revascularization after proximal aortic repair. No intimal defect was noted in the ascending aorta or transverse arch at operation.
