Solution Introducing Channel Allocation IE November 2007 Solution Introducing Channel Allocation IE AP advertises Channel Allocation IE via Beacon and Probe Response frames The APs can advertise a frequency list that either IT recommended or the network infrastructure examined based on the interference level and traffic load Non-AP STA can get channel allocation information with or without having to associate to the infrastructure network Non-AP STA can then utilize the recommended channels for respective communication purposes Slide 4 Emily Qi (Intel Corp) et al
