Twas The Night Before Christmas Galatians 4:4-7

1. The Curse of Sin Was About To Be Defeated

Galatians 4:4 But when the time had fully come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law.

Genesis 3:14-15 And the LORD God said to the serpent…From now on, you and the woman will be enemies, and your offspring and her offspring will be enemies. He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.

2. Our Redemption Was About To Be Purchased

Galatians 4:5-7 To redeem those that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba! Father! Wherefore you are no more a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Romans 8:3-4 …God destroyed sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the requirement of the law would be fully accomplished for us who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
