Similar Solids are 3D shapes that have the same shape, and have all sides proportional. Recall that in 2D similar figures, the ratio of the perimeters was equal to the scale factor, but the ratio of areas was the scale factor squared For a scale factor of a:b, what relationships do you think the surface area and volume would have?

What is the scale factor between these two prisms?

Find the scale factor, and the ratio of surface area and volume

Given the surface area and volume of the smaller figure, as well as the scale factor, find the surface area and volume for the larger figure
