Ethical Behavior Ethics: the principles of conduct that govern a group or society Honesty about time and money Respecting employer’s property Confidentiality Fairness

Honesty • Time—you are trusted to work the hours you say you will. • Theft of money • Lying gets easier with practice!!!

Respecting Property • Illegally copying company software • Taking office supplies • Damaging equipment

Confidentiality Do Not Tell Secrets!

Fairness Don’t show unjustifiable negative attitude toward a person or group. Don’t discriminate based on race, sex, culture, etc.
