Components of Family Support Services Family Support Network – Birth to 3 (BITP) Preschool Partners – 3 through 5 Partners for Success Resource Center – 3 to 21 Notes: Partners for Success is under the umbrella of Maryland State Department of Education – the Division of Special Education/Early Intervention Services. There are 3 components of family support services: Family Support Network – Support families with children, birth to 3. Baltimore Infants & Toddlers Program Preschool Partners – Supports families during the transition from Infants & Toddlers Program to local school system and preschool special education. Partners for Success – Supports families with children, 3 to 21.

Partners for Success Resources for Families and Schools Who We Are? Partners for Success supports parents of children with disabilities, ages 3 to 21. Its mission is to promote positive, effective partnerships within the school community and is staffed by a parent of child with a disability. Who We Are?

Partners for Success Resource Center Services Conducts parent workshops and seminars. Direct parents to available community resources. Offers support to parents who need someone to talk to on an individual basis in a confidential, supportive atmosphere. Services Provided

Partners for Success Resource Center Services Cont. A lending library of articles, newsletters, books, and dvd’s on a wide range of special education topics such as special education law, types of disabilities, support groups and recreational opportunities. Seeks ways to encourage and strengthen communication between parents and school personnel. Makes community presentations to both parent groups and school staff. Services Provided
