The Cat and the Bird 3
Birds are cute or pretty usually. Sinners may not be. 4
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:9-10 NKJV) And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; {10} "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector, but for Zacchaeus, Jesus was his Savior. 5
Some realize they are lost and need a Savior. 6
Zacchaeus was one of them. 7
(John 4:39-42 NKJV) And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, "He told me all that I ever did." {40} So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. The Samaritans realized they needed a Savior, and recognized Him when they were able to talk to Him. 8
(John 4:39-42 NKJV) {41} And many more believed because of His own word. {42} Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world." The Samaritans realized they needed a Savior, and recognized Him when they were able to talk to Him. 9
Having a Savior is great news. (Luke 2:10-11 NKJV) Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. {11} "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 10
Paul was a great example of one who needed a Savior. (1 Tim 1:12-17 NKJV) And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, {13} although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. {14} And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 11
Paul was a great example of one who needed a Savior. (1 Tim 1:12-17 NKJV) {15} This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. {16} However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. {17} Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. 12
Some do not realize they need a Savior. 13
Those in Jesus parable about the wedding feast. (Mat 22:1-10 NKJV) And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: {2} "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, {3} "and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. 14

Those in the days of Noah did not listen to his warnings of what was to come. (Mat 24:36-39 NKJV) "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. {37} "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. {38} "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 19

We can reject the Savior and be lost. 23
It is the story of the two sons. (Luke 15:21-32 NKJV) "And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' {22} "But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. {23} 'And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24

Jesus is our Savior, but we will be lost if we reject Him, or fail to accept Him as our Savior. 30
Are You without a Savior? Do you need to accept Christ as your Savior? Have you been baptized into Christ? 31
