Outliers Ch. 1-2 Activity In your groups, discuss the following questions: In Ch. 1, why is the hockey players’ birthdays significant? In Ch. 2, what are the underlying factors to Bill Gates’ success? Why? Do you agree or disagree? Why or why not? After reading this portion of the book, how to do you feel about the author’s assertions of success? Why? How does the author use rhetoric throughout the text?

Outliers Quiz, Intro-Chap. 2 When finished with the quiz, get a head start on creating a chart with examples of ethos/logos (in particular) from Chaps. 1-2! You could also keep reading – next chapters due 3-4 Are you annotating? Marking things? Using study guide questions?
