ROAR Behavior of the Week If you are asked a question in conversation, you should ask a question in return. It is polite to show others you are just as interested in them, as they are in you.

Word of the Day Monday gauge (verb): determine the capacity, volume, or contents of by measurement and calculation Sample sentence: The government has created a poll to gauge public opinion on the issue.

Word of the Day Tuesday hypothesis (noun): a tentative theory about the natural world Sample sentence: You should develop a clear hypothesis before you begin the experiment phase of your project.

Word of the Day Wednesday incremental (adjective): increasing gradually by regular degrees or additions Sample sentence: We will accomplish this difficult task with small incremental steps toward our goal.

Word of the Day Thursday larvae (noun): the active immature form of an insect Sample sentence: The larvae becomes a pupa by spinning a cocoon and finally emerges in a week as a hungry adult.

Word of the Day Friday mass (noun): the quantity of matter that something contains Sample sentence: The sun contains over 99.8 percent of the total mass in our solar system.
