Our Journey to 2 Logic Models

What We Heard… Coordinate Efforts Consolidate Measurements Empower our Natural Leaders Increase Awareness Seek Atypical Partnerships

Thinking about Sustainability….

Collective Impact “… we believe that there is no other way society will achieve large-scale progress against the urgent and complex problems of our time, unless a collective impact approach becomes the accepted way of doing business.” - John Kania & Mark Kramer CI enables a group of organizations to address a major challenge by developing and working toward a common agenda that fundamentally changes population level outcomes in a community (e.g. graduation rates, employment)

What is Collective Impact (CI)? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNOnrrIYvdo

Aligning EKIOC with CI

Our Common Agenda! Build Resilient Children and Youth Link to Youth Collective Impact work Play & unstructured time Mentorship Children & Youth Valued Other Adults are Good Build a Sense of Neighbourhood & Connectedness Relationships & Opportunities

Connecting Activities to Resilience: The Evidence! Constructive Use of Time Community Values Youth Adult Relationships Family Support Caring Neighbourhood Adult Family Members as Role Models Play & Creative Activities

Provincial Alignment

Local Alignment Youth Engagement Forum – want to see communities where youth have a voice, youth are celebrated, youth are connected to youth, youth are connected to their community. CDSBEO Resiliency Surveys – Each year a decline in number of students who feel that community values youth and who described a caring adult relationship outside of their family Tell Them From Me (UCDSB) – similar results

Our Common Agenda!
