Career Surveys AVID

Career Surveys Step 1: Highlight or check EVERY descriptor that applies to you in each box. Step 2: tally the number of check marks per box. Step 3: Identify the top 3 boxes and match those to the career clusters on the purple handout. Step 4: Complete the chart with the top three career clusters, possible majors, and possible occupation. Step 5: Reflect on the bottom or back of the handout Were your results what you expected? Which majors or careers were new to you? Of the top results, which major and career are you focusing on the most? Why?

Career Project Research  Select ONE career field to explore and explain what someone in that field might do. Take Cornell Notes on your research Constructed Response: Write 2 paragraphs discussing the personal characteristics that are required to be successful in the career field in which you are interested.  Discuss the characteristics in terms of already possessing them, or the need to adjust or develop the characteristics in order to meet with success in your future career.  You MUST support your explanation with evidence from your research.  Commercial OR Infographic: Create a commercial informing your peers of the information that you have gathered from your research.  You must have the following “headings” and information in your commercial OR infographic: Description of the career field (in your own words) Possible Positions Average Salary Training/Skills involved Colleges/Universities offering the major (At least 3 colleges, 1 must be in Georgia)
