Projectile Motion A projectile is an object moving in two or three dimensions only under the influence of gravity

Free Fall and Projectiles All objects accelerate toward the Earth, near the surface, at the same rate equal to -9.80 m/s2 (neglecting air resistance). Vector Quantities not parallel are independent of each other. A projectile follows a parabolic path. The horizontal velocity of an object in projectile motion is constant.

The Vertical and Horizontal components are independent of each other.

The Horizontal Component of the motion of a projectile has constant velocity

The horizontal velocity is constant because the acceleration in the horizontal direction is zero

Calculations of Variables time vy d y vo max vx d x Range ax = 0 ay = -9.80 m/s
