Antenatal diagnosis Update (DR Fetal major CHD) 19th December CHD Network Dr Helen Liversedge

Current disparity across the UK National Institute for Cardiovascular Outcomes Research National variation in England in 2012/13 between 26% & 55% But this data is flawed

Standards FASP4 Definition of major 18+0 to 20+6 fetal anomaly ultrasound Acceptable: Detection rate (DR) ≥ 50% for each serious cardiac anomaly Definition of major Atrioventricular septal valve defect Hypoplastic left heart Tetralogy of Fallot Transposition of the Great Arteries

Audit Aims Find actual DR for the 4 FASP cardiac conditions in SW region To identify training needs and to implement Repeat after training support Methods Have gathered contacts in each centre and requesting data for these conditions Already realised that we need a more formal/registered approach

SW Audit of standards Exact definitions eg complete AVSD/ HHS Postnatal data- ? Bristol only (not all managed in Bristol) Agreement to take part/ how to register this? (tertiary) FASP (18+0-20+6)-how do we manage gestation at diagnosis? Exclusions/all gestations SWCAR/FASP have similar aims ? link with their data Who should be involved? Which time frame ? use EDD as per FASP End date for data collection Repeated after training or rolling
