Review and Discussion Content/Notes – simple explanations of content to be taught Skills – SBA related – help in paring activity and skill Inter-relationships – Physics does not stand alone Suggested teaching & learning activities – ideas for practical activities

Questions?

SBA Component Procedures for Conducting SBAs has been moved up has been simplified has new content – how to perform assessments & record marks

SBA Component Assessment of Practical Skills Still SIXTEEN SBAs Skills to be assessed are… MM, ORR, AI, P&D at least [not ONLY!!!!] three [3] assessments per skill SBA Moderation – on-site visits

Assessment Schedule/Timetable SBA Component Assessment Schedule/Timetable

SBA Component The Investigative Report Aimed at fixing the problems teachers, students and markers face with Planning & Designing SBAs – scenarios should come from real-life/ every-day experiences Proposal [method stated!] Experiment Corrections and conclusion
