Nonfiction Feature Study

Let’s Compare Nonfiction Fiction tell facts gives information usually has photographs teaches a topic textbooks, biographies, autobiographies tells a story has characters has a plot (problem/solution) made up fantasy, realistic fiction, tall tales, folktales

Photographs Photographs help the reader understand exactly what something looks like.

Labels Labels help the reader identify a picture or a photograph and its parts.

Comparisons Comparisons help the reader understand the size of one thing by comparing it to the size of something familiar.

Cutaways Cutaways help the reader understand something by looking at it from the inside.

Maps Maps help the reader understand where things are in the world.
