Main study areas of RMCA

RMCA natural history collections African Zoology Geological collections The Xylarium  of Tervuren 10,255 ordinary minerals (in 988 species), 1,077 radioactive minerals and 170 asbestos samples 20,000 well-documented (micro)fossils including both fauna and flora species of Phanerozoic deposits of the Central African region. 56,000 specimens of 13,600 different botanical species from around the world. Herbarium specimens and living plants hosted at the Belgain Botanical Garden since 1934
