Congruent Figures Whenever two figures have the same size and shape, they are called congruent. The following statements are true: Since congruent triangles have the same shape, their corresponding angles are congruent. Since congruent triangles have the same size, their corresponding sides are congruent. All congruent figures will have corresponding parts that are congruent.
