Tudor Fashion - The Rich The Rich Wealthy Women Wealthy women wore many layers of clothes. They had many petticoats. They wore long gowns made out of silk. They had a maid to help them get dressed. Wealthy Men Wealthy men wore a linen or silk shirt. They wore a jacket. They wore stockings, and padded breeches instead of trousers. Most wore a velvet or fur hat. They wore fashionable shoes made from leather.

Tudor Fashion – Poor People Working Women Working women tended to wear shorter dresses than the wealthy. They also rolled up their sleeves when working. Their clothes were made out of wool. Working Men Working men wore loose fitting tunics and shirts made of woolen cloth. They also wore shirts that were made of wool rather than silk or linen. They wore boots on their feet.
