King Midas & The golden touch by : Avery Grace mcdougall Can you believe that a very rich king named Midas had a golden touch ? Everything he touched turned to gold! He was so selfish & greedy that he loved gold even more than his own daughter until one day when he got the terrible golden touch. I will show you why this is my very favorite Greek myth.

Moral First off I believe that this myth shows a very important moral ( or lesson.)Midas learned that being greedy could hurt you in different ways such as not being able to eat or drink or even touch any type of food!!! The other way he could get hurt is hurt on the inside such as being hurt when he turned his daughter in to gold. This is one very important lesson that none of the other myths tell

greedy Some of the selfish and greedy things he did and the results where that he disobeyed what his daughter asked him not to do and turned her whole garden in to gold . It was ruined. Midas placed to much gold before his friends & family that he said he only he would be happy if everything he touched turned to gold. His wish came true and next thing he new his daughter was a golden statue. If only he had placed such a high value on his family & friends these bad things wouldn’t have happened to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Conclusion As you can see it is my opinion that Midas and his golden story are my very favorite. It teaches great lessons on if you are greedy, selfish , or any bad behaviors. They can cause bad problems.
