Grading Tests 50% Lab 20% Quizzes/Assignments 20% Homework/Classwork/Participation 10% Only 90% of tests are based on class discussion. THERE ARE NO 100s WITHOUT DOING ALL ASSIGNMENTS

Extra Credit Tests: A Quarterly exam will be offered at the end of each marking period and may replace your lowest test grade Quizzes: Any student with a perfect homework average will have their lowest quiz grade dropped NO INDIVIDUAL EXTRA CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN!

Sample Unit Format Length: 2 weeks (1 quiz/1 test) Homework: Prior Knowledge Packet; Chapter Reading; Chapter Questions; completion of in-class assignments Classwork: Articles, Case studies, labs, activities, worksheets, video clips Labwork: A combination of mandatory and supplemental labs

Other Assignments POTW: most Mondays a problem of the week is due – see file for dates and assignments Vocab Quizzes: most Fridays a root word quiz is given – there is a list provided and available on the website
