Lighting your way in the dark

PASSIVE GUIDING SYSTEM Glowway's patented self-illuminating tiles glow in the dark guiding people to exits in cases of emergency and/or electrical outages. In case of fire, self-illuminating tile that are installed on floor level can make it significantly easier to find the correct exit way. Traditional fire escape signs that are place higher can be difficult to see because of smoke. © Glowway Oy Ltd

THE INNOVATION Glowways self-illuminating tile are manufactured mainly from glass of high quality polycarbonate. The tiles do not glow under normal lighting conditions making it possible to naturally blend escape routes in their surroundings. © Glowway Oy Ltd

VERSATILE Glowway offers a comprehensive, non-electric, energy saving system for exit path markings and also orientation for the visually impaired. According to fire and safety experts and the Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired (FFVI), Glowways passive exit path marking system is first-rate. © Glowway Oy Ltd

DURABLE Glowways glass tiles are durable and well suitable for public floor or wall use. The tiles can be used with ordinary ceramic tiles or other stone floor materials. The luminous material and different colors are integrated in glass so that they stand abrasion well. © Glowway Oy Ltd

Glowway products have been tested (Aalto University, Department of Electronics, Lighting Unit, research report T4020V ) to fulfill the requirements of visibility test according to standard UL 1994 Luminous Egress Path Marking Systems Chapter 35, September Tested for USA markets. © Glowway Oy Ltd

For example, the underground metro tracks are marked with yellow warning tiles and they can be seen glowing in bright yellow color when it is dark. Furthermore, green warning tiles can be used as step-fronts/stair nosings to warn about stairs. © Glowway Oy Ltd

POLYCARBONATE TAPES Glowways new innovation, the Polycarbonate Tape is durable, unobstructive and easily modified according to customers' wishes. The product is very easy to install on many surfaces and due to top quality materials it is very durable and resistant to scuffing. The product has only 0,2mm thick edges and 0,5mm thick center so it is very unobstructive and can be used on the floor of most buildings. © Glowway Oy Ltd

POLYCARBONATE TAPES The polycarbonate Tapes come in many shapes and surface designs. Since the material is flexible, the shape can be easily modified according to customers' wishes. Also the surface design can be customized according to customers' needs. The surface of the product can be designed e.g. in such a way that the guiding information or arrows are not seen in daylight and only become visible in darkness. This makes the product blend very well in the surroundings. © Glowway Oy Ltd

POLYCARBONATE TAPES The polycarbonate Tapes can be used in many different locations to show the way to exits in cases of emergency situations. Because of it's unobstructive design and durability, the long strips provide an ideal product to be used as step-fronts/ stair nosings to warn about stairs. © Glowway Oy Ltd

ACTIVE GUIDING SYSTEM In fire situations the smoke can spread violently and the actual location of the fire can be nearly impossible to pinpoint. This can dramatically complicate finding the correct emergency exit. Glowways Active Guiding System complements the regulatory signing system by making it possible to guide people optimally based on e.g. the starting point of a fire. The Active tile can also be used to guide people in normal situations. Glowways objective is to offer safety enhancing system that is also estethically pleasing. The active guiding system is suitable to all spaces with high utilization rates. © Glowway Oy Ltd

ACTIVE GUIDING SYSTEM The surface of the Active Guiding Tile can be made to imitate the surrounding floor material. This way the product is unobtrusive when not in active use. The active guiding system is currently in development stage and will be officially released in the near future. © Glowway Oy Ltd
