Examples of Disobedience Adam & Eve

Adam & Eve Genesis 2:15-17 – “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

Adam & Eve Genesis 3:1-24 – “So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.”

Days of Noah Genesis 6:5-14 – “So the Lord said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

Nadab & Abihu Leviticus 10:1-3 – (1) “Nadab and Abihu… offered profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them.” (2) “So fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.” (3) “By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.”

Moses Numbers 20:1-13 – (8) “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water” (11) “Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly” (12) Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

Uzzah II Samuel 6:3-6 – “Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God.” Numbers 2:5-6, 15 – “then the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them; but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die.”

Conclusion God still demands obedience today! John 14:15 – “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

Conclusion God still demands obedience today! Matthew 7:21 – “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven.”

Conclusion God still demands obedience today! II Thessalonians 1:8-10 – “in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord”

Conclusion God demands obedience & as His servants we must strive to obey God at His word. We must make it our goal to SIN NO MORE as we strive to follow Jesus.

God’s Plan of Salvation Hear the Word of God (Romans 10:17) Believe in Jesus (John 8:24) Repent of Sins (Luke 13:3) Confess Faith in Christ (Romans 10:10) Be Baptized in Water (Acts 8:35-39) Remain Faithful (Revelations 2:10) If err, repent and pray to God (I John 1:9)

Lord’s Supper Partaking of the Fruit of the Vine: Matthew 26:27-28 – “Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins”
