הרשת החברתית מקצועית שלובים – החזון: להוות מקום מפגש לעוסקים בחינוך ובהכשרת מורים. להוות כר להתפתחות מקצועית של העוסקים בחינוך. להוות כלי להתעדכנות מקצועית.

תמיכה מקצועית הדדית. עידוד יוזמות חינוכיות ברמה הלאומית וברמה הבינלאומית. העצמה אישית של העוסקים בחינוך - מורים, מכשירי מורים ועוד.

מה יכולים לעשות אנשי חינוך בשלובים?: לשתף ידע. ללמוד מאנשי חינוך אחרים – מורים, מרצים, מפתחי תכניות לימודים ואחרים. להתייעץ עם עמיתים לאותו תחום מקצוע. להסתייע בקישורים המועלים לרשת ולתרום קישורים.

המשך מהשקף הקודם לשתף פעולה בטיפול בסוגיות יומיומיות. להיחשף לאפשרויות שמציעות טכנולוגיות של ווב 2 ללמידה לאורך כל החיים (lifelong learning). לשתף התנסויות. לפתח פרויקטים משותפים.

לפתוח קבוצות בתחום החינוך. להתעדכן בנעשה בתחום החינוך בארץ ובעולם ולהחליף דעות. לכתוב בבלוג אישי. להצטרף לקבוצות עניין בתחום החינוך. לפתוח קבוצות בתחום החינוך. להתעדכן על אירועים ולעדכן על אירועים. לכתוב מסמכים בשיתוף עם עמיתים.

שלובים מול פייסבוק איחזור מידע באמצעות ענן התגים (שאין בפייסבוק). חשיפה לכל חברי הרשת לעומת פייסבוק שבו יש חשיפה רק לחברים. כך, יש חשיפה רחבה לתחום החינוך. שלובים מאפשרת מיקוד מקצועי בתחום החינוך לעומת פייסבוק שיש בה ערבוב בין הפרטי והמקצועי. כלי הרשת החברתית של שלובים "נתפרים" לצורכי קהילת החינוך ומתפתחים בהתאם לצרכי ואופי הקהילה בניגוד לפייסבוק שהכלים בו מפותחים לצרכים אחרים.
