New Group Structure We will have a group meeting soon: someone of HR might be there to present (?) or at least answer questions on the New Salary Structure and the New version of AC 26 (Advancement)

Office Space LHC Experiments are asking for additional office space in the Meyrin site In particular CMS wants to have its control room in the old MCR and are looking for office space close to it Possibility that we move to Prevessin (this will imply that office space taken by PH (NA experiments) in Prevessin should be liberated. Will it happen? Any strong motivation why we should stay in Meyrin? I do not see it and you?

New Web Page Since the end of the year: http://ab-dep-abp.web.cern.ch/ab-dep-abp/ It will be updated with the new structure soon. Web-master: C. Pinto-Pereira (AB/CO) Comments are welcome

MAPS Deadline dates for the MAPS exercise are: 13 April: All interviews completed 11 May: All forms signed 18 May: DG review of all proposals 29 June: Exercise completed I will have my MAPS on 6/2. Then we will start. I will be absent from 12/2 to 16/2 included (Fermilab and PAC07 SPC)

APC 15/2/2006 – 19/1/2007: Review of the (many pending instrumentation issues in the PS-SPS) Results of the LHC cycle tests PS without rotating machine  Need to make tests with beam in 2007 Review of the observations on the LHC beam instability in the PS. Seems to be related to e-cloud build up at high energy when the bunches are shorter than 10 ns  Studying the possibility of installing an e-cloud monitor and to have a scrubbing cycle in the PS Review of the aperture available at SMH16 for fast extraction at 14 GeV/c (for MERIT) without QKE58 http://ab-div.web.cern.ch/ab-div/Meetings/APC/Welcome.html

ABOC/ATC days Strong degradation of the performance of facilities like AD and EAST Hall: Either we consolidate or we should stop No nToF run in 2007. In 2008? OPERA (CNGS) likely not ready before 2008 Poor status of the beam instrumentation in PS-SPS Poor status of the Compensator (harmonic filters) for the PSB Summary on 9/2 in 864-1-D02 (AB Auditorium): 10:00-12:00 http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=7306
