Evaluating Text What do you think?

What does it mean? Good readers evaluate text before, during, and after reading They give their opinions They decide what kind of book they’re reading They decide if it is a good level for them They rate the author’s style MOST IMPORTANTLY They support their evaluations with examples from the text!

What does evaluating look like? Wow! This book is really exciting! The author makes me want to find out what will happen next! So far, I can read all the words and I know what is happening. This is a great book for me!
