2019 Legislative Priorities Forsyth County Schools Challenge #2: Student Access to Mental Health Services Challenge #1: Recruiting and Retaining Teachers (Georgia is ranked 38/50 and is close to $4,000 below average) Opportunity: Increase the State funding for starting teacher salaries ($34,872). Opportunity: Adopt the nationally recommended school counselor to student ratio; decrease from 1:450 to 1:250. Add a footer
